Description |
31 page wine-colored gilt-embossed scrapbook with beige construction paper pages. The boards are of heavy paste board. the books has a stitched binding reinforced with cloth bias tape. The last four pages are blank. The majority of items pasted into the scrapbook are news clippings. There are also some stamps, cartes de visite, greeting cards, and poems. there is a 1861 Missouri Defence Bond pasted in as well. The book was not created chronologically. Subjects covered: Stage Coach Drivers, Bannock War, World Exposition in New OrleansThe Idaho Statesman, International Order of Odd Fellows, among others. |
