Description |
This is an antique Victorian cabinet card photo album (a) on a built in mirrored stand (b) with ornate gold metal trim. The album is covered in green velvet floral material and has gold toned filigree trim at two of the front corners and around the heart shaped mirror at the center of the cover. There is a metal buckle clasp on the right side of the album to open and close the album. The album has ten double sided cardboard pages that holds cabinet cards. The book is not attached to the stand but the hinges are still visible at the front indicating that the album has separated from the stand. The stand has a large face mirror in the center and a large gold metal floral cluster at the top. At the back of the stand there is a broken box form that could have been used to hold extra photos or the stand had an attached music box. |
